Abstract
We herein report our experience in treating a case of multifocal adult rhabdomyma of the larynx and neck. Such a multifocal is extremely rare and so far only 17 previous cases have been reported in the literature. The patient was a 54-year-old male with a chief complaint of hoarseness. He was found to have two lesions, the first one was located in the left larynx near the aryepiglottic fold, while the second one was in the right neck. The diagnosis of a laryngeal mass was made before performing resection based on a histological examination after laryngomicrosurgery. Both tumors were surgically removed, and they were elastic, reddish brown and encapsulated while measuring 90 × 65 × 30mm in the larynx, and 65 × 50 × 20mm in the right neck. In addition, a grapelike structure was seen inside the larynx tumor. The patient's postoperative course has been good after the operation.
