Abstract
20 cases of tympanoplasty were treated with “Cepharanthin” which was offered by the Kakenshoyaku Company.
The administration of Cepharanthin ( 3mg/day peroral or 5 mg/day intramuscular injection) inhibited dischargement of wound after the tympanoplasty. The effect of this drug was recognized in 75% of the cases.
There is no difference of the effect between the cases by peroral prescription and intramuscular prescription. No by-effect was observed.
