There are many reports as to multiple carcinoma. The authors report here six cases of multiple carcinoma which were found at our clinic from 1946 to 1964.
Case I, 68 male, had undergone laryngectomy about 15 years before and been healed, but now developed malignant new growth of the esophagus.
Case II, 64 male, had undergone removal of maxillary carcinoma on the right side and completely healed, but 14 years later grew carcinoma of the larynx.
Case III, 53 female, and Case IV, 43 male, had undergone removal of maxillary carcinoma on one side and 8 years later newly developed one on the other side.
Case V, 51 male, had undergone laryngectomy, and 3 years later newly grew carcinoma of the stomach.
Case VI, 60 male, had undergone laryngectomy about 4 years before and again suffered from carcinoma of the signoid colon.
In all cases, operation of the first carcinoma had been undergone, and after a long lapse of time, the second one newly developed.
