Abstract
Thirty-one case of esophageal foreign bodies observed in the last three years and a half are statistically discussed. Although Jackson's esophagoscope was used in most cases, Ono's esophagoscope for the upper esophagus is recommended as a handy instrument for extracting these foreign bodies, the majority of which are found in the upper part of the esophagus.
