Abstract
From July 1971 to July 1976, 52 cases of the laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (17 supraglottic, 32 glottic, 2 subglottic and one total laryngectomized recurrent carcinoma) have been treated in our clinic.
Out of these patients, 48 cases were treated with 4 MV Linac therapy and only 4 cases with surgery. Twenty four patients out of 48 cases who had irradiation have been controlled by initial radiotherapy and 22 patients out of another 24 cases were followed by additional surgery. Twenty four patients controlled by radiotherapy were composed of 13 cases with T1, T2 lesions and 11 cases with T3, T4 lesions.
