Regional Intra-arterial Infusion Therapy for the Cancer of Oral Region

Abstract

25 cases of head and neck tumors, 12 cases of lingual cancer, 3 cases of cancer of the mouth floor, 3 cases of cancer of the palate, 3 cases of buccal cancer, 3 cases of epipharyngeal cancer and a case of lip cancer, were reported.
Reginal intra-arterial chemotherapy of single or combined medication of 5 Fu, BUdR and BLM, using lingual artery, facial artery and ascending pharyngeal artery, and radiotherapy were performed on these cases.
Several considerations were performed on the advantages and disadvantages of intra-arterial chemotherapy on the bases of our clinical experiences.
