Abstract
The symptom of tinnitus aurium disappeared or improved with 11 cases (19%) of 58 patients who were given chlorpromazine was not very effective for tinnitus aurium. However, chlorpromazine, because of its sympathetic blocking action was effective in some cases and there are reports on its effectiveness. It is pointed out that further researches should be performed to determine the indication and the dosage. The application, the indication, the method of use, the dosage, etc. are discussed from the author's experiences.
