Effectiveness of Diagnostic A-Mode Ultrasonography as a Means of Monitoring Patients with Maxillary Sinus Diseases

Abstract

Diagnostic A-mode ultrasonography has been found to be not only a simple and reliable means to provide early diagnosis of maxillary sinus diseases, but also an improved technique in monitoring the progress of treatments. A comparison between the ultrasonography and conventional X-ray examinations was made on 74 patients.
