Abstract
A median fistula with a cyst on the roof of the nose is reported in a 2-year-old boy. In this case, the cyst was found to extend to the anterior skull base dura. The fistula and cyst were totally removed under a microscope and the use of ear surgery instruments proved to be effective. A dermoid cyst was verified by a pathological examination. Cases of median fistula on the roof of the nose should be carefully operated on, especially in the case of children, because in such cases there is a highry possibility that the cyst could extend to the skull base. The CT and MR findings are also considered to be extremely Valuable in the diagnosis of such cases.
