Abstract
Octamin tablets containing paraverine hydrochloride, nicotinic acid, tioctic amide and other vitamins are designed to improve blood circulation and metabolism of the inner ear.
The authors have shown that of these ingredients papaverine hydrochloride has a remarkable efficacy of increasing blood flow in the inner ear. They administered this drug to the patients of Ménière's disease and other inner ear diseases, and perceived a remarkable healing efficacy for tinnitus in the patients of Ménière's disease as well as for vertigo.
They concluded that this drug ought to be tried in the treatment of inner ear diseases.
