On the Findings by Electron Microscope of Papilloma in the Nose

Abstract

In order to ascertain the virus infection theory of papilloma, the author examined by an electron microscope a male, aged 59, for the papilloma in the nose. The examination revealed rootlets not to be seen in the normal cilia among the cilia of the ciliated cells. The author, however, could obtain no findings to conclude that they were virus.
