Abstract
Cinepazide (Brendil) was administrated continuously for four weeks to 30 patients with vertigo and equilibrium disorders, and its clinical effects were evaluated by the equilibrium function test. The results were excellent or good in 50% (15 cases), fairly good in 13.3% (4 cases), slightly improved in 23.3% (7 cases), unchanged in 6.7% (2 cases), and worse in 6.7% (2 cases). Only one patient (3.3%) complained of a side effect abdominal discomfort, which disappeared when the drug was stopped.
This clinical trial suggests that “Brendil” is useful in the treatment of patients with vertigo and equilibrium disorders.
