Hemangiopericytoma is a rare tumor in the head and neck, especially in the parapharyngeal space. A 55-year-old man with parapharyngeal tumor was found to have hemangiopericytoma. He died of local recurrence and pulmonary metastasis. Only adriamycin caused a partial remission. It is difficult to predict the prognosis from the histopathological appearance. We emphasize that it is very important to observe the behavior of this tumor for appropriate treatment.
