Lymphangiomas in parotid glands occur frequently in children younger than 2 years of age but are rare in adults.
A 43-year-old female visited our hospital complaining of a swelling in the right parotid region. From the sialo-CT appearance, it was suspected that the tumor originated in the deep lobe of the right parotid gland and extended into the right parapharyngeal space.
The tumor was confirmed at operation to originate in the deep lobe of the parotid gland.
Pathological examination indicated that the tumor was a cavernous type lymphangioma.
