This paper presents a 46-year-old man with osteomyelitis of the temporal and parietal bones. The disease had been managed by administration of antibiotics and drainage of mastoid purulency at a hospital but the inflammation had spread to the skull.
Broad exenteration of necrotic bone resulted in healing of the lesions. The disease seems to have been caused by inadequate administration of antibiotics and infection with resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
