眩量, 難聴を初発とした髄膜癌腫例

We reported a case of diffuse metastatic leptomeningeal carcinomatosis (DMLC) with vertigo and hearing loss as early symptoms. From the examinations of a hearing test, internal auditory meatus tomography, caloric test, and auditory brain stem response, acoustic neurinoma was suspected firstly, and was ruled out finally by differential diagnosis. No remarkable findings were revealed in either CT or MRI and the cytological examination of cerebrospinal fluid showed many atypical cells, and the final diagnosis was DMLC. We made some discussions on this case and other cases reported in the literature.
