The clinical effect of IPD® in patients with Japanese cedar allergy was investigated by comparing treatment before the start of the pollen season and treatment after the pollen had been scattered. Based on the symptom score, medication score and symptom-medication score, treatment before the pollen season had a significantly lower value that that of treatment after the pollen had been scattered.
These results indicate that IPD® is useful for the treatment of Japanse cedar pollinosis.
