Abstract
writer describes that the petrological consideration of coal by means, of the same view as sedimentary and metamorphic rock in petrology is necessary for comprehensionof coal petrology. It is also summarized that the present interests are the problemsin regard to optical properties of maceral, some relations between coal petrology andphysical-chemical studies of coal.
