Activity of Illumination Promotion Divison : History of 50 years(<Special Issue>Transition of Illumination Promotion Division of 50 years)

Abstract

The Illumination Promoting Division has been involved in various activities with a mission to promulgate illumination-related knowledge and achieve developments of facilities, and celebrated fiftieth anniversary in November of the year 2007. This article briefly describes the three cornerstones of the Illumination Promoting Division (publications, Illumination Promoting Award, AKARI NO HI), and looks back the history of fifty years, in units of each decade.
