According to spread advances of LEDs as a light source for illumination, the needs of the measurement technique for them have become higher and standardization has been pushed forward. The Optical metrology division supports research and development of those measurement techniques to move ahead on their technical standardizations. As an example of the activity of the division, a trend on the standardization of the LED measurement techniques is described.
