Lighting Design of The Westin Nagoya Castle Hotel, Chapel(IES Illumination Awards 2011 AWARDS OF MERIT, <Special Issue>Japanese Illumination Designs Highly Recognized in Overseas as Well 2011)

Abstract

This facility is a renovated chapel. Lighting plan was completely revamped and interior was remodeled to maximize the effect of the renewal. The interior design is enhanced by the illumination. Lighting equipment is kept out of sight as much as possible to maintain harmony between illumination and interior, brightening the space using lighted surfaces. LED devices are deployed in various places to minimize maintenance costs. Long-lasting LED lamps are chosen with energy conservation.
