The Development of Coal Hydrogasification Technology to secure a stable supply of substituted natural gas (SNG) from coal at low cost has been performed from FY 1996 as a part of the Japanese governmental new energy program called the New Sunshine Project. This paper reports results from researches on hydrogasification reacttion, configuration of gasisier and pheripheral technologies.
