Osaki CoolGen carried out the NEDO project “Biomass Co-Gasification of Technology Development for IGCC with CO2 Capture” with the aim of further reducing carbon emissions by replacing part of the coal fuel with biomass fuel while utilizing existing technologies and equipment, and contributing to the realization of carbon neutrality. As a result, we have achieved that operating with a biomass blending ratio of 50% on a calorific value basis and have obtained prospects for commercialization.
