4-1-1 Study on Photovoltaic (PV) System in Snowy Cold Region

Abstract

Photovoltaic (PV) system has been developed in many countries as one of promising future energy sources. However, PV system is largely dependent upon weather condition. In this study, we report the investigation result of PV system performance that has been installed in some different area in Aomori prefecture by considering weather condition. The results show that power production from PV system is obviously influenced by weather condition such as solar radiation, snow, precipitation, also inclination angle and azimuth of the solar panel.
