Abstract

In this study, layered double hydroxides (LDH) with magnesium and aluminum were synthesized and calcined at a temperature of 500°C. 50 mg-B/L of boric acid was subjected to adsorption to the LDH in aqueous solution. 95% of boric acid was adsorbed to the LDH without addition of NaOH. Addition of NaOH decrease the amount of boric acid adsorbed by increment of pH. The maximum amount of boric acid adsorbed was 0.18 g-H3BO3/g-LDH.
