7-1-3　Practical Report on Energy and Environment Education in Home Economics Department

Abstract

A new subject, studies on dairy life and environment, was introduced in the Department of Home Economics at Kobe Women's University in 2021. The subject objectives are to raise interests in environment including energy from the perspective of a consumer. There are many environmental issues, such as climate change, to tackle. Concrete issues should be argued through more notions, such as the tragedy of the commons. In addition, individual respective specific actions to mitigate environment deterioration is likely to lead to collective actions globally. Learners can have chances to gain knowledge through flipped classrooms, which can be promoted to understand deeply.
