This study analyzed environmental factors related to photovoltaic plants in one region of Yamanashi Prefecture. Overlay analysis was applied for investigation to assess the ground-mounted photovoltaic plants with land use data. The findings indicated the respective proportions of land use to the total plants as 37.8% for forest, 27.2% for other agricultural land, and 11.3% for building land. The abandoned farmland had the largest amount of ground-mounted photovoltaic plants.
