Abstract

In this study, the author tries to inquire into the formative and developmental processes of the village shrines as the public squares in ordrer to know the same processes of the squares in the feudal age in Japan.
In chapter 2, the changed characters of Chinju on mori, which they must have underwent on occasion of growing the village public open spaces, are studied in the case of the Hino shrine in the Mannor Kaivaraba yashi.
However, the formation of the Chinju on mori does not mean that all the members of the village are able to join it. In this study, the author suppose that the development of the squares should mean morse members joining in it.
And in chapter 3, the developmental processes ari tried to be studied through the medium of the organ zation of Miyaza which is apt to close most.
