Abstract

This study clarifies by carrying out the field work to estimate the capacity of flowing down water by the established route.
The established route above mentioned is consist of the Tamagawa city weter system waterways network that was built in Musashino tableland area, Tokyo in the Edo era and the uppermost stream of the rivers that makes this tableland the origin and the location and structure by which the watar of the waterways can flow down easily.
As a result of survey on the water running route, it has been clarifird that, out of 16 waterways, the subject of survey, 9 waterways are able to run the water, by natural flowing down, at such a short distance as 1 to 2 Kilometer to greater part of rivers (this applies to 22 out of 24 rivers, the subject of survey)
Also the matter that has been made cleay by the survey of the quantity of water flow is, the waterrun capacity is figured out by each river that can be connected.
Through the research based on the survey on both fields, the requirement for the waterways in the tableland area and network system of the rivers has been clarified.
