Forming limit curves of 1050 aluminum sheets were determined and the effects of predeformation (cold rolling) on the curves were investigated. The forming limit curves of aluminum sheets shift to the lower position after cold rolling. The limit strain decreases to the greatest degree in the region near the plane strain deformation and to a smaller degree at the equibiaxial deformation side. The relation between the prestrain and the limit strain in the plane strain deformation was also investigated. The limit strain decreases with increasing prestrain. The second deformation causes the relaxation in work hardening due to the predeformation.
