Yield loci of commercial pure aluminum and Al-Mg alloy sheets were measured by the biaxial compression method using a rectangular specimen prepared by stacking and gluing sheets. The yield loci and r-values were crystallographically calculated by use of a three-dimensional crystallite orientation distribution function. Observed yield loci for aluminum are hexagonal in shape showing the TRESCA criterion. The loci are distored by rolling. The distortion in shape except one based on Bauschinger effect is also shown in calculated yield loci. Directional variation of stress for a certain strain state and r-values are in good agreement with calculated ones. The texture affects directional variations of strain and stress.
