Abstract
MRP systems have been developing in the U.S.and their applications for many kinds of industries and production organizations. In this paper, 1)I will report an introduction to MRP systems, 2)backgrounds underlying MRP systems which from the main stream in the production control systems in the U.S., 3)a historical phase dealing with progress and features of MRP systems, 4)the current trends of MRP systems in the Unites States and Japan.
