Abstract
This paper analyses some statistical characteristics of the two-stage chain sampling inspection plans by use of GERT (Graphical Evalution and Review Technuque)and offers the economical aspect of these plans. GERT simulation (GERTS) is also applied to analyze the complicated sampling inspection plans. This work may be of assistance in designing the most economical plan which minimizes the total average cost for a given lot tolerance percent defective (LTPD) and consumer's risk (β).
