Abstract
Considering the present conditions of Japn where almost all the petroleum is imported from foreign countries, an energy demand-supply model for energy flows in the conversion and distribution was constructed. This ssytem was analyzed by a multiple-objective linear programming, from the viewpoings of economic efficiency, consumption of petroleum, and environment protection. As an example, using the data in Japan in 1977,the amount in 1982 was forecast and applied to this method. An optimum allocation of energy and the energy shortage to be endured were clarified from this analysis.
