Abstract
The feature of our production is that we assemble multi-kinds of products in small quantites. Soem had several problems in the synchronization of parts making, units assembly and final assembly. Then we have improved our production systems to achieve out final aim that we can produce only necessary products, just at necessaruy time, according to necessary sequence. We adopted two ways of approaches to the improvement. One was software approach and the other was hardare approach. First, we started our actions from the software approach so that we could find out the real bottle-necks in our hardwares. Then we improved those bottle-necks one by one. After the intensive efforts, we could get the good results. They are to shorten the lead time of production, improve the quality of our products and reduce the man-hours needed for production.
