Abstract
An analysis for multi-stage proudciton was performed in an attempt to detemine the opticmal parts to be machined in a limited time avaliable for the given machine tool by applying Group Techonolgy concepts, so as to maximize the production rate as a primary objective and to minimize the production cost as a secondary objective. In addition, the optical machining speeds to be utilized at the all stages in manufacturing the selected aprts were determined. A numerical example was shown.
