Abstract
The effect of learning in setups and quality on the optimal lot sizes and the setup frequency in production process has been investigated by Chand.In this paper the effect of learning in ordering on the optimal ordering quantity and ordering frequency is studied based on a multi-item inventory model under the two ordering policies, that is, the lump ordering and the individual ordering policies.A comparison of the two ordering policies is also discuseed from the economic viewpoint.
