Abstract
In the previous paper, we investigated the effect of learning ordering in multi-item inventory model. It is possible that the arrival items are damaged during transportation and the quality of ordered lot is deteriorating. In this paper, both effects of learning ordering and quality are studied based on the multi-item inventory model under two ordering policies. The two ordering policies are the lump and individual orderings. Optimal ordering quantities, ordering frequencies and inspection rates are derived under the two ordering policies. A comparison of the two ordering policies is also discussed from the economic viewpoint.
