サイリスタ式軸発電動機による発電推進システム

抄録

Recently shaft generators are adopted for energy saving in many ships. In this paper, the shaft generator motor with a thyristor inverter is introduced. This shaft generator motor provides not only generator function, but also motor function and is usable for ships propulsion in the event of failure of main engine.
The first plant of a generator-propulsion system was installed on 80, 000 DWT motor oil/ore/bulk carrier and we confirmed that the functions of shaft generator and electric propulsion were satisfactory.
