Abstract
Active vibration control technique attracts much attention in many fields of the industries. This paper presents the development of active vibration isolation system for machinery installed onboard ship. Noise and vibration induced by these machinery are important problems for a special purpose research vessel or a luxury cruise ship. In this report a hybrid type active vibration isolation mounting, that is the double resilient mounting which applied active vibration control technique, is proposed as the high-performance isolation system. In designing the controller of this system, f eedf orward control are adopted. Model tests and corresponding simulate calculation are carried out to confirm the control theory and the efficiency of vibration isolation. The obtained conclusions are as follows.
(1) The hybrid type active vibration isolation mounting is available for machinery installed onboard ship.
(2) The efficiency of the hybrid type active vibration isolation mounting is superior to the double resilient mounting.
(3) Reasonability of the investigation with the simulate calculation is confirmed.
