Abstract
It is investigated how much information for children's services has been described in 701 Japanese public library web sites, and how much usability is taken into account, especially in the web pages for children.
As the result, it is shown that the information, such as materials, spaces, and services for children, is not necessarily described enough in the web sites, from the viewpoints of public relations, in comparison with the present status of children's services. Furthermore, it is seen that the web sites in merely 123 public libraries (17.5%) include the web pages for children. In the web pages for children, the usability for children is relatively taken into account, from such a point of view as ease to read and ease of navigation.
