Abstract
In order to protect the cargoes from deterioration, temperature distributions of cargo in dry container are measured on a container vessel during transit from Kobe to Singapore and subsequently on the ground in Singapore. The authors discuss the experimental results for temperature variances obtained under the following conditions ; during transit and on the ground with and without boards to the top of the upper tier. Temperature distributions inside container are also estimated by computer calculation. These calculated values are in good agreement with the experimental ones.
