Abstract
In the floating factory fishing in the North Pacific Ocean, the movements of the fishing boats are within a circle with the radius of about 50 miles from the center where the factory ship is drifting. As to the fishing boats, from the view point of the safety of the ship, it is necessary to observe the change of the ship's stability and the ship's motions induced by the ocean waves. Concerning the observation, the most useful information is the value of GM (GM=Metacentric height) which can be calculated by analysis from the records of ship's rolling. From the above view point, the author designed a radio telemetering system, in which the angles of rolling, sampling from the instrument every 1 second by digital method, are transmitted from the fishing boats to the factory ship in charge. The schematic diagram of this system is shown in Fig.1.
