Abstract

Recently, electric equipments and automobile parts are becoming more precise and high-performance. Therefore the needs for mechanical characteristics of steel foil has been high level. Particularly, stainless steel foil with less than 30 μm of thickness is strongly requested. Seldom, fatigue fractures of it occur in remarkable short term. This research tries to improve the fatigue life, due to controll micro structure of stainless steel foil by laser heat treatment with adequate conditions. These experimental suggest that adequate conditions of the grain size and the phase fraction can realize fatigue life improvement.
