The authors investigated the housing consultation services in the recent damaging earthquakes, and found that the crowded consultation centers had difficulty in providing relief information for disaster victims. Hearing survey for architects was conducted to obtain expert knowledge for possibility to repair damaged dwellings in relation to damage levels. Based on these results, the information system was developed to support consultation service. While a disaster victim in public shelter can make a request for an appointment through the network in advance, consultation service manager can access the database and set up schedule for consultation and prepare the related documents. Officers of some municipal offices evaluated the system as useful with further improvement.
