Abstract
This study aimed to evaluate the rule limiting number of landing people in the Minami-Jima in the Ogasawara Islands and to estimate the appropriate numbers by investigating the coverage and growth of the mascarenegrass and by introducing the carrying capacity of the manilagrass to the mascarenegrass growing in the Minami-Jima. The carrying capacity of the mascarenegrass was estimated in 20-70 persons per day at the most. Therefore, we evaluated that the sightseeing limitation rule would not take account of the carrying capacity of the mascarenegrass.
