Abstract
The number of mammography procedures being undertaken is increasing rapidly as breast cancer examinations combined with mammography have become more common. Additionally, the quality of mammography is important in the case of such breast examinations. Therefore, we studied mammography techniques, and our results indicated that the frequency of mammography filming helps to improve mammography techniques, and also that taking courses in mammography quality control is imperative for comprehensive management of images. From a questionnaire about the number of patients screened, approximately 50 women per day were screened at most health examination institutions and mammary gland clinics, while 24 of 36 institutions screened no more than 10 women per day. A questionnaire completed by 15 radiological technologists demonstrated that most of them were taking about 50 films per day.
