Pre and post surveys were administered to 123 students participating in a financial education course for the 2013 academic at the Hokkaido University of Education. The course is designed to train teachers who will be able to teach financial education. The purpose of the surveys was to determine changes in student attitudes towards financial education. The results of the surveys indicated that student attitudes changed significantly during the course regarding important aspects of financial education, the proper time to start financial education, and topics that can be taught.
