Abstract

This research project designed and adapted two lessons in the home economics consumer education content at the junior high school level, using a collaborative learning method, in order to facilitate students’ learning credit card use for online shopping. The following two purposes were set for the lesson study. a. To clarify the effectiveness of lessons in terms of students’ knowledge. b. To elucidate how the difference of discussion ways would influence learning quality in the online shopping lesson. It was implied that this kind of collaborative lessons require implementing small group activities with physical closeness, and giving students appropriate instructions, according to the learning environment and discussion development in order to advance learners’ deeper learning as well as their knowledge.
