Abstract
We consumers play an important part toward realizing a sustainable, diverse, and inclusive society that will achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are a focus of the world’s attention today. Results of ethical consumer actions often become the focus of attention. However, an individual’s consumer behavior is significantly affected by his or her environment, and there are cases in which it is difficult to identify the ties to actions. Therefore, the present study investigated groundings for actualized, ethical consumer behavior with attention to empathy, self esteem, social concern and moral. The results clarified that emotional empathy and self-esteem positively affected both ethical consumer awareness and ethical behavior.
